The Visitor Department and the artist Stephen Loye – together with lower form secondary school pupils and their teachers of French, arts and physical education – devised a workshop that took place entirely in the premises of the museum.
Our educational aims were for us all to meet differently – pupils, teachers, artist, museum staff – and to learn to know each other as people above and beyond our individual roles. To discover several artists and their ways of expression, to experiment with several artistic techniques and practices, to discover the museum, its spaces, its functions and the people who work in them, to speak out, to express oneself by performance, happenings, and poetry. A big thank you to all the participants for these moments of exchange and emotions!
