Inventerre festival

The Musée Gassendi is a partner of Inventerre, the Festival of Biodiversity, of which the 6th edition took place on 7 to 10 July 2016, with more than 80 cultural events in the area of the Asse-Bléone-Verdon joint municipal authority.

An unmissable event for nature lovers, to learn about natural riches from the viewpoint of art:

FRIDAY 8 JULY at 16:00 in the Musée Gassendi – Free admission
“Au fil de l’eau” tour of collections of Musée Gassendi with Laurie Honoré, cultural outreach officer
From drawings by Bléone in the 17th century to the Rivière de terre [River of Earth] by Andy Goldsworthy and including naturalist collections: a tour of the museum between art and science.

SUNDAY 10 JULY from 8:30 to 16:00 (Barles-Digne) – Free, by advance booking
Discover the natural and artistic heritage of the Bès Valley by bicycle, led by the Bès Valley association with, among other things, contributions between art and geology by Nadine Gomez-Passamar, curator of the Musée Gassendi
A descent on bicycle, including various stops where contributors tell the history, the geology and the natural environment of this valley that conceals works of art. If necessary, you can be brought back to the starting point in Barles.
