The CAIRN Art Centre has published the first artist’s book by Delphine Gigoux-Martin. Entitled Lorsque l’été lorsque la nuit, it is an account of the various studies making up the project for the exhibition. It is printed in 200 numbered copies, signed by the artist.

the stars plunge to the bottom of the sea
cling to the branches of the trees and flash faintly
i see, with the closed eyes of deep sleep,
the ghosts and strata of the past reappearing.
trees become corals,
jellyfish become spaceships,
the night flows on the mountain,
the forest cries oceans
and they leave at the edge of the landscape
beasts and solitary men contemplate the escape of a black universe.
the between two worlds slips under my eyelids,
enlightens my most secure thought
