Sentinelles [Sentinels], Andy Goldsworthy, 1999
The Sentinelles work is part of the Refuge d’art project, a trail through the Digne area, at the foot of the Southern Alpes. Such a project associates art, nature and the geographic area. The three Sentinelles are stone cairns, one in each of the three valleys of the Réserve Géologique de Haute-Provence.
